Background

Lujan de Cuyo is located 40 minutes southwest of Mendoza city in the upper Mendoza River valley at approximately 1000 meters or 3,280 feet above sea level. This region is known as the “Cradle of the Malbec,” because Malbec has found its ideal growing conditions in Lujan de Cuyo for decades. Some of the oldest Malbec vines in Mendoza can be found in Lujan de Cuyo thriving in the region’s fertile soil.

Varietals

Lujan de Cuyo is well known mostly for its red varietals, although the region produces a great diversity of white wines as well.
